Methodology
Every number on this site links back here: where it comes from, how it's checked, and how it's calculated.
Metrics
- True shooting % (TS%): scoring efficiency, counting threes and free throws properly.
- Coming with box-score data: effective FG%, usage rate, assist/turnover ratio and assist rate, offensive and defensive rebound %, pace, and offensive, defensive and net rating.
Standings
- Source: balldontlie (licensed; not official league data). Refreshed daily; last pulled Oct 30, 2026.
- Order: conference win percentage, then overall win percentage, then total wins. Conferences break real ties with their own rules, so official seeding can differ.
- Before the season starts, pages show last season's final standings and say so.
- Checks before publishing: no negative or missing records; win % must match wins and losses; a conference record can't exceed the overall record; no team listed twice; and across each conference, conference wins must equal conference losses. If any check fails, the site keeps its last good version.
- Home/away splits that don't add up to the overall record are withheld, with a note on the team page, rather than published.
- A blank zero in the source (a team with no wins listed as blank) is filled in only when the source's win % confirms it.
- Teams: Division I teams, the ones in a listed conference. Lower-division schools appear in the source only as opponents.
What we won't publish
