Our ratings start with results: how much a team wins by, adjusted for who it played and where. Then the film gets a small, labeled say. Every part of the number is in the table, and the full math is on the ratings page.

College ratings start once the 2026–27 season has a week of games behind it. Early ratings lean toward average on purpose, and sharpen as results come in.

Player ratings arrive with player stats: production, team impact and the eye test, each shown on its own. The formula is already on the ratings page.
